THE GARDEN MOSAIC PROJECT WAS TO PUT MOSAICS ON THE LONG SIDES OF THREE RAISED GARDEN BEDS.
THIS PROJECT CONSISTED OF 12 ONE-FOOT BY THREE-FOOT PANELS.
EACH OF THE RAISED FLOWER BEDS HAD TWO PANELS ON EACH SIDE.
EVERY PANEL WAS DIFFERENT AND A COMBINATION OF CERAMIC AND GLASS TESSERAE.

I started this project by laying out a large sheet of cardboard and putting many of the different tiles onto paper plates so I could easily see them

This panel includes a small watch that belonged to the client. Pieces of time is a representation of our lives, which are are made up of pieces of time.

I chose this one simply because the garden is in Kansas and I had some great colors that reminded me of Kansas Wheat

These two are on the back end of the last raised bed
Tea cups
These two are similar, they both have half teacups adhered with an opening at the bottom to let water drain. Small plants can be planted in them.
Special for the client
The client is a pisces - thus the one on the left. The panel on the right represents her and her children and grandchildren. Each person has a color associated with the based on their birth date. Her birth date is a green - represented by the green circle on the left. Her youngest child is a red and is represented on the bottom. Another child is a yellow, who with a blue - created at green. the next child is a blue who, with a red, produced a red. Her oldest, on the top is a blue.
