This was a unique project. My biggest concern was that it would be too heavy to hang. But we went ahead with it. The top and either side a centerpiece tile. The top one is of a garden. On one side is a rooster and the other side has apples, with several tiles with the names of different apples on them.

Intermingled with the colorful ceramic pieces are pieces from broken plates.

After the mosaic part was done, I blended blue from acrylic paints to match the blue in the grout.
