Even though it was small, this one was difficult. It was to be a gift for a Virgo friend of the client.
It was a good opportunity to use up some of the blue star pieces I had left over from another project.
What made this one difficult was the base - it was made from thin balsa wood, not the best substrate for a mosaic.
Care was needed when grouting to make sure the dampness did not penetrate too much and warp the base. At the same time the lid had to be fitted so it could be removed and returned later.
